Aunt Rachel

I let this one go a little long and it was on the dry and mealy side, but still with a nice spicy aroma.  Aunt Rachel is also from the Horne Creek Farm orchard and is the second of the six varieties we’re trying from there.  Again, nice color for our heat.

  1. looks like the apple journey is a never ending one. This looks delicious,is it going to be part of the 2013 shipment to Zambia?

    • Yes, we should include that along with Red Rebel and Paulared, as all were excellent. Shell of Alabama is also as low-chill and vigorous as Dorsett Golden, and should be included also.
