Apple Movie

Well, an apple movie of sorts; they correctly depict this 19th-century English town drinking cider, expressly hard cider in contrast to the wine a rich man imports that is much stronger.  There’s even a scene in the fall showing them crushing apples in a stone cider mill.

I was pleased to see the sets, town, and trades depicted accurately and the story is charming also and safe for kids.  Beautifully set and filmed in Jersey in the Channel Islands at the Hamtonne Country Life Museum, it is available as an instant play movie on Netflix.
